We are seeking a skilled Windscreen Technician to join our team, covering Inverness & The Highlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and replacement of windscreens in various vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires a full driving licence and a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
Duties
- Assess damaged windscreens and determine the appropriate course of action for repair or replacement.
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove damaged windscreens safely.
- Install new windscreens according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Ensure proper sealing and finishing of installed windscreens to prevent leaks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding services performed and any additional recommendations.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly related to automotive systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the installation process.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
